
Not 100% sure why but my kids will eat legitimately ANYTHING if it’s put in an onigiri. Pickled lotus root? Downed. Teriyaki eggplant? Gone. This is only particularly of interest since the same children (well, at least one of them) picks off parsley from a pizza and says it’s salad. Onigiri are super fun to make, only a little messy, and super delish. Don’t forget to add a bit of salt to the rice for both flavor and preserving.
